Dates: 2026/09/04 (Sunday)
Maintenance Window: 05:00 MDT - 08:00 MDT
What: SLIX EdgeConnex Extension Upgrade
The optics and switches in the path of the SLIX EdgeConnex extension will be upgraded to 400Gb port capacity. Initially the backhaul for this will be 400Gb, but we are planning an additional 400Gb for an 800Gb total backhaul in the coming months. SLIX participants will be able to use 400Gb ports at EdgeConnex and XMission locations. If all goes well, the outage should be a simple unplug and plug of the dark-fiber on each end, yet plan for a three-hour maintenance window of possible instability to EdgeConnex. All other SLIX extensions will be unaffected by this maintenance upgrade.
